Bringing Nanango Businesses and Community Together
The Nanango Business Alliance was formed in 2022 as a response from local businesses not having a forum to advertise and promote their businesses while connecting with the Community.
We seek to keep our members aware of the most recent advertising and marketing opportunities thanks to our network of more than 200 business in the Nanango Region.
Our first Major Project was the Nanango Business Directory launched early 2024.
We were honoured to be hosting our 1st Australia Day FREE Breakfast on January 26th 2024 at the Nanango Showgrounds. This event will showcase all Nanango Businesses and will become an annual event on our Business Calendar.
The SBRC Local Elections were on the 16th March, The Business Alliance held a very successful "Meet the Candidates" event at the Nanango Services Club with over 200 in attendance.

I have been actively involved in the Community since relocating in 2017 and have enjoyed participating in several Christmas Carnivals and Australia Day events, most recently as being the President of the Nanango Business Alliance I was part of the organising committee for the Australia Day FREE Breakfast at the Nanango Showgrounds.

We moved to Nanango from Brisbane and purchased a property in December 2021. Before moving here, I ran & owned a Computer Business for 30 Years. (Repairs and Sales). We also had a manufacturing business for the last 12 years building Arcade Machines, Virtual Pinballs & Jukeboxes.
After moving to Nanango, we decided to take on the Blue Light Roller-skating rink and renamed it The Hub Nanango. Nanango has been a great change for us and now as part of this community we have contributed to many different charitable events as well as joining the Nanango Business Alliance.
After returning from London in 1971 where she worked for prestigious ad agency J. Walter Thompson, Suzie made a career change that saw her accepted into the Society of Interior Designers of Australia in 1978.
She moved her company from Sydney to Northern NSW in 1981 with the focus on building her client base and bringing up her two children after the early death of her husband.
After accepting a role as Queensland Convenor of the SIDA her significant contribution to the recognition and prestige of the design industry in Queensland led to Suzie being recognised by her peers in 2002 when she received an award from the Design Industry of Australia.
In 2006 she ventured north to open a branch of her company called Island Edge, a luxury furnishing showroom and design studio in Airlie Beach.
Suzie served as a director and board member of both Rotary and Zonta at Airlie, having already been a Rotarian at Southport for a number of years.
After the opening of her Gold Coast design studio in 1987 Suzie had spent almost 30 years at the helm of Maison Jardin - one of Queensland’s leading interior design consultancies until her semi retirement in 2017 when she purchased acreage at Glen Devon.
With a client base that still extends from one end of Queensland to the other keeping her busy– Suzie has enough upcoming projects booked at Toowong, Buderim, Hamilton Island and Burleigh Heads to keep her busy through 2024 and 2025.
Focus at the moment is on caring for her farm, project managing the restoration of a classic Queenslander in Nanango and supervising a renovation at Sanctuary Cove.
I started my venture in Graphic Design back in 2007 the year after graduating high school. I was fortunate enough to land an apprenticeship through an existing design and printing business in Nanango. This saw me graduating as a trade qualified Graphic Designer in Pre-press. I have a passion for Graphic Design as I love being creative. I also have experience in running machinery and seeing jobs the whole way through. I owned a Business for a few years in Nanango in a partnership, unfortunately had to close this business as the partnership didn't last.
I have lived most of my life in Nanango and know the town and people quite well. Even though I am now located in Kingaroy I am still a Nanango girl at heart.

We moved to Nanango in the 80' and raised our 3 children here. I started a successful Drilling business {Downunder Enterprises} which I eventually sold and purchased land in South Nanango and started adding the Storage Sheds and Industrial Sheds which all have excellent access, security cameras and a Caretaker on site.
My wife and I have been involved in the community since we arrived, and have taken an active role in many events over the last 35 years.
We both play a major role in the Waterhole Rock yearly event and the Gas Guzzlers classic cars. Show & Shine
